^ Default WP page w/ default WP theme. (Which is . . . ?). WordPress defaults to a home page being the main blog feed. I’ll change the home page to a regular page (that is, a static page without a blog feed) a little later.
^ Default WP home page with GeneratePress theme activated
^ Home page, as before, with logo (with site title) and subtitle added.
^ Home page is now just a blank page still GeneratePress theme – not a blog feed as is was before.
^ Just installed LearnDash plug-in, which populated the header with a few too many links; will have to adjust all this later. Also note the “Delete Cache” link on that top black bar. This handy link was added by the WP Supercache plug-in.

^ After adding a consistent not-totally-white background color.

^ After removing some nonnecessary links in the top navigation and adding a “LearnDash Course Grid” block.
After changing the footer and header background colors to pure white, and styling the cards within the course grid.
After a trial run with GeneratePress Pro with GenerateBlocks. Trying to re-create the homepage sketch in my proposal. Design will change. Also, the images are mostly placeholders here.
After adding new illustrations, featured images, and two “under construction” lessons. I also designed new image placeholders for the under-construction lessons.
With icons/illustrations added to the three benefit cards; few other minor tweaks.
Added background colors for header and footer, added real copy to benefits, finessed menus a bit, added new first lesson. THIS LOOKS MUCH SHARPER IN REAL LIFE.

Wondering now if the “Lessons” header should also be white on a dark background. But that’s not a priority consideration now. (March 16, 2023.)

Further enhancements included streamlining the lesson cards and adding information about the benefits of registration (late April / early May 2023):
